capitalizing on Mid-Century Modern ideals.
Born the great-grandson of Danish carpenter Niels Bendsen, Daniel Beahm completed art school with degrees in design, philosophy and biology at a small, private university in Indiana. Post graduation Beahm traveled across Europe before taking a position as in-house designer for Blenko Glass in Milton, West Virginia. After a spell in West Virginia, Beahm moved to Columbus, OH, where he opened a design firm called Digabyte Music and Design, specializing in web, print and advertising. In Columbus, Beahm also took on several projects designing and restoring residential interiors; he also completed industrial and interior designs for several restaurants and industrial spaces.
It was in Columbus that Beahm began establishing relationships with various fabricators (most notably Fortner Upholstering and Hard Metal Fabrication) that would inspire and allow him to begin designing and building furniture, lighting, and other architectural appointments.
Currently Beahm resides in a 1955 atomic ranch (Lyman Preston Johnson, architect) between Denver and Boulder where he continues to create in multi-media and architectural design ventures.Denver, CO, Colorado interior design, Westminster, CO, interiors. Broomfield, CO architectural design. Boulder, CO interior and architectural design and decorating.
